THE FESTIVAL
The 2nd Annual HDG Extreme Boat Dockin' and River Front Festival is a community-wide undertaking planned and conducted by residents and local business owners whose objective is to enhance the environment within the city of Havre de Grace, Maryland. This yearly event raise funds to support HDGinBloom, a committee under the Community Projects of Havre de Grace inc., a registered 501 (c) 3 non-profit. HDGinBloom has been established to promote and maintain the beautification of Historic Havre de Grace's public facades, gardens and parks through citizen volunteerism. Every year we will sponsor The Lock House Museum for use of their beautiful property to hold our boat docking competition as well as other non-profits in our community that have been established to educate, grow and preserve the heritage of Havre de Grace. A Unique Experience
The HDG Extreme Boat Docking & Riverfront Festival offers a range of activities and experiences that highlight Havre de Grace's bayside charm. Here's what you can look forward to:
Docking Competitions: Watch skilled waterman navigate their boats with precision in exciting docking challenges.
Local Cuisine: Savor a variety of delectable dishes at the event's food trucks and local restaurants.
Vendors: Alongside their beverage and food counterparts, local vendors also make an appearance to display their goods.
Fun Events: The excitement begins early with our popular Dinghy Poker Run, where participants cruise the waterfront collecting poker cards and competing for prizes. Throughout the day, festival-goers can enjoy a variety of family-friendly activities and waterfront entertainment. Think you have what it takes? Sign up for our Dock Whatcha Got Competition and put your own docking skills to the test. Add in oyster shucking contests, crab races, live entertainment, great food, and plenty of surprises, and you'll find something fun happening all day long.
Community Spirit: Beyond the competitions and festivities, the event is a celebration of Havre de grace's community. It's a time for locals and visitors alike to come together and cheer on their favorite boat and business sponsor.

Dinghy Poker Run
Who's Got the best hand on the water?
Test your luck, outplay the fleet, and claim cash prizes at the 2025 Riverfront Festival Dinghy Poker Run!
Get ready to hit the water before the festivities start. Gather your crew, navigate through scenic stops along the Susquehanna, and test your luck for a chance to win prizes and bragging rights all the while supporting HDGinBloom.
How it works:
* Participants travel by dinghy or small craft boat to five predetermined stops to collect a playing card.
* At the finsh line, ypur best five card stud poker hand is recorded.
* Grand prize winner and prizes for top hands will be awarded thanks to our sponsors!

* Lighthouse Pier
* Penn's Beach F Dock
* Log Pond Marina
* American Legion Pier
* Lockhouse (North side of floating pier)- Final Stop

Think you've got the skills to impress the crowd?
The pros have had their turn—now it's yours! After the professional docking competition wraps up, the course opens up for DOCK WHATCHA GOT-
Dock Whatcha Got gives recreational boaters the opportunity to tackle a docking challenge and see how they stack up. Whether you arrive in a dinghy, center console, cruiser, or anything in between, if it floats, you're welcome to join the fun.
This crowd-pleasing event is designed for bragging rights, laughs, and a little friendly competition. The entry fee is $25 per boat, with all proceeds benefiting HDGinBloom, helping beautify our community through flowers, planters, and public green spaces throughout the city.
