THE FESTIVAL

The 1st Annual HDG Extreme Boat Dockin' and River Front Festival is a community-wide undertaking planned and conducted by residents and local business owners whose objective is to enhance the environment within the city of Havre de Grace, Maryland. This yearly event will raise funds to support HDGinBloom, a committee under the Community Projects of Havre de Grace inc., a registered 501 (c) 3 non-profit. HDGinBloom has been established to promote and maintain the beautification of Historic Havre de Grace's public facades, gardens and parks through citizen volunteerism. Every year we will sponsor The Lock House Museum for use of their beautiful property to hold our boat docking competition as well as other non-profits in our community that have been established to educate, grow and preserve the heritage of Havre de Grace.

A Unique Experience

The new Riverfront Festival will offer a range of activities and experiences that highlight Havre de Grace's bayside charm. Here's what you can look forward to:

Dinghy Poker Run: Start the day with an early morning poker run. Participants collect playing cards at checkpoints between HDG City Marina and the iconic Lock House, vying for the best poker hand-all the while soaking in the Chesapeake Bay!!

Docking Competitions: Watch skilled waterman navigate their boats with precision in exciting docking challenges.

Local Cuisine: Savor a variety of delectable dishes at the event's food trucks and local restaurants.

Vendors: Alongside their beverage and food counterparts, local vendors also make an appearance to display their goods.

Community Spirit: Beyond the competitions and festivities, the event is a celebration of Havre de grace's community. It's a time for locals and visitors alike to come together and cheer on their favorite boat and business sponsor.

Concert: Join us for the evening festivities at The Concord Point Lighthouse and enjoy a fabulous show by Son's of Pirates.

Lighted Boat Parade: End the day hanging out with your friends and family watching our beautiful lighted boat parade along our waterfront.
